Those evning bells those evning bells,
How many a tale their music tells
Of youth and home and that sweet time,
When last I heard their soothing chime.
저녁 종소리, 저녁 종소리,
너희는 알려야 할 이야기를 얼마나 많이 전했니
젊음을, 집을, 그 아름다운 시간을,
내가 마지막 너희 달래주는 종소리 들었을 때
Those joyous hours are past away,
And many a heart that then was gay
Within the tomb now darkly dwells
And hears no more these evning bells.
그 종소리 사라진 아름다웠던 지난날들,
그때는 많은 마음들이 즐거워했지
지금은 어둠의 무덤 속에서 지내기에
더 이상 저녁 종소리들을 수 없네
And so ''twill be when I am gone,
That tunefull peal will still ring on
While other bards will walk these dells
And sing your praise sweet evning bells
그러니 내가 떠나도 그리 될 턴데
선율이 아름다운 소리 계속 울리리
또 다른 시인들이 이 종소리 함께 걸을 테니
너희 아름다운 찬양 저녁 종소리를 울려다오
