새로 완공된 러시아군 정보총국(맞는 번역인지 모르겠군요) GRU(Glavnoe Razvedyvatel'noe Upravlenie)본부를 방문한 푸틴 대통령의 사진들입니다.
GRU는 KGB(1917년 창설, 1991년 해체)에 뒤이어 Lenin의 지시로 1918년에 소련 혁명군의 정보수집을 위해 창설되었으며, 러시아의 주요 첩보수집능력을 강화하기 위한 정보기관 조직 대 개편 과정에서 대대적으로 그 규모가 증강된 러시아 국방부 예하 정보기관으로, 미국으로 따진다면 DIA(Defense Intelligence Agency)가 이에 해당합니다.
현 GRU 국장은 Valentin Vladimirovich Korabelnikov 육군 대장으로, Korabelnikov 대장은 30여년간 러시아군 정보부대에서 복무, 러시아군 정보계의 대가로 잘 알려져 있고 푸틴 대통령의 상당한 신임을 받는 것으로 전해지고 있습니다.
