우리들이 사는 태양계는 이 바다의 한 쪽을 조용히 건너

유구한 시간의 궤도를 천천히 돕니다.

희고 빛나는 은하의 품속은 날마다 새로 태어나는 별들의 안식처

 

가지가지 별들의 드라마가 은하안에서 반짝 거리고 있습니다

 

The Milky Way Galaxy is only one of countless galaxies. Nonetheless, it has one hundred billion stars and our solar system is only a very small part of it, situated on its outskirts.
Numerous stars are being born at various places in the spiral arms of the enormously vast sea.

Every one of them will have a drama of its own life.

별의 아가가 태어나는 것은 

우주에 떠도는 분자의 구름인 플라스마가 커다란 소리로 하늘을 가르고
그리하여 태어난 새 빛을 휘감은 아가 별의 모습 입니다.

 

지금도 어디선가 강력하고, 별이 태어나고 있습니다

On the right is a baby star swaddled in baby clothes of molecular cloud. He is emitting light of plasma upward and downward. Does he seem a crying baby ?
On the left are young adult stars.

핵융합의 불을 지펴
스스로 뿜어 낸 구름사이에 얼굴을 내미는 소년 별
찬란히 빛나는 「어른 별」을 동경해
천천히 천천히 자신의 체온을 올려 갑니다.

 

그는 주위에 혹성을 만들기도 합니다.

 

 

A boy star comes out in blowing the clouds off with energy of nuclear fusion, from which he will gradually get heat and grow up to be a brilliant "adult star".

He is getting old enough to have his planets coming out and moving around him.

 

 

 

 

조용히 사라지는 별의 최후
Old stars

 

 

탈대로 다탄 몸을 조용하게 식히며

최후의 한순간까지 빛나기를 갈구하는 늙은 별
그의 의지는 아름답게 널리 퍼지는

이 온화한 구름은
언젠가 새로 태어나는 별들에게 이어져 갈 것입니다.

 

A declining old star keeps shining to the full mildly and quietly until he exhaust all his fuel at the final stage of his life.
The gas he radiates is recycled into clouds, which will be inherited by his descendant stars someday.

 

 

 

 

 

슈퍼노바

Supernova

 

화려하게 자신을 태우며 꺼져가는 커다란 노인 별이 있습니다.

별의 마지막 시간을 알려주며
하늘가득 한 그 빛은 거룩하기조차 합니다.

「초신성」은 이윽고 그 수명을 다하여 우주의 티끌로 되 돌아 갑니다.

 

When an old giant red star is exploding, it is called Supernova.
He shines 10 billion times as brightly as the sun. The holy light tells us he is going to close his life.

In the meantime, the supernova is turning back into numerous dusts floating in space.

 

 

 

 

 

블랙 홀

Black hole

 

 

빛마저도 빠져 나올 수 없는 칠흙같은
우주의 「검은 구멍」
가까워지는 것을 무엇이든 이 나선 모양이 삼켜 버립니다.

슈퍼 노바의 흔적
소멸한 별의 또 하나의 모습입니다.

"Black hole" is an area in outer space into which everything near it, including light, is pulled.
The core of an ex-Supernova has such an enormous gravity as to pull even the light toward the center in spiral, so we cannot see it.

Black hole is the remains of Supernova, being different from Pulsar. He shows the other dramatic ending of a big star.

Unknown planets

 

별이 소멸해
별이 다시 태어나고
끝없이 퍼져나가는 은하의 저 건너편에서 
우리가 아직 단한번도 본적이 없는 말할 수 없이 멋진 풍경이
필경 우리들을 기다리고 있답니다.

Countless billions of stars are born and die in the endless universe.
Somewhere outside of the galaxy, there would be lots of spectacles only God might see.
When will we be able to see any of them ?
